BUSINESS STUDIES AND EMS SCHOOL GOVERNING BODY EDUCATOR –  JANUARY 2027

We are hiring! Join our community of exceptional and dynamic educators at Fish Hoek High School in January 2027. Fish Hoek High School is a leading co-ed school in Cape Town.

Key requirements:

  • Experience teaching Business Studies to Grade 12 level and EMS (GET).
  • Interest in expanding and enriching learners’ exposure to Business Studies.
  • NSC marking experience is not essential but advantageous.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in the school’s extra-curricular activities.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, including the use of ICT in the classroom.

MUSIC SCHOOL GOVERNING BODY EDUCATOR – JANUARY 2027

Fish Hoek High School is looking to employ a full time, dynamic Music educator who will join our community of exceptional educators.

Requirements:

  • B.Mus degree minimum.
  • A passion for teenagers, as well as the ability to work with multi-skilled classes is essential. (Classical and contemporary)
  • Recent teaching experience in Music (CAPS) to Grade 12.
  • The ability to contribute to the school extra-mural programme – choir, bands , productions. Please state skill-set and experience in specific areas.
  • To teach individual piano lessons (up to Grade 8), enter learners for Eisteddfods, Examinations (Trinity/ABRSM/UNISA), competitions and provide accompaniment where needed.
  • A Second instrument is a strong recommendation.
  • SACE registered or proof of registration.

Referees will be consulted to verify particularly the ability to employ modern effective teaching styles within a diverse and inclusive classroom, as well as to manage classroom behaviour skilfully.
