MADD Evening which stands for a celebration of Junior Music, Art, Dance and Drama was a tradition from the Middle School years ago. In 2017, for the second year running, the MADD Evening returned to Fish Hoek High School. The evening showcased the best grd 8 and 9 Visual Art and Performing Arts in the form of a vibrant art exhibition and variety concert in the Hepworth Hall.
The fundraising for this event and cultural activities for the Junior cultural wing of the school was organised by the Junior MADD committee. Amber Poole and Meg Mauve Laurence were our entertaining and memorable MC’s of the show.
For many grd 8 and 9 performers involved, it was their first performance in front of a live audience; and a crowd of 204 members of FHHS community came out in support of them.
A delightful, entertaining, memorable, brave, inspiring and sometimes mad performance was the 2017 MADD Evening.
Special thanks must go to the MADD teachers : Margaret Stone, Meagan Miller, Kirsty Weaver, Michelle Carter, Justin Gronewald; as well as Backstage Crew, especially Jacques Le Roux for making the MADD evening possible.
Looking forward to 2018’s MADD evening, we are looking for more brave boy performances please!
